Caller add-on. The rulebook is longer than the pitch.

The card is the excuse. The call is the point.

Real pen on card stock, addressed to a named decision maker at a company you choose, sent under your brand and not ours. A caller follows it up while it is still on the desk. You approve every name and every card before anything is sent.

Scope a campaign

Quoted per campaign. Adding it to your cart records interest and charges nothing. It attaches to a caller seat and does not run without one.

US Real pen on card stock same day

Then we phone them

The objection

Yes, it can be creepy. Here is how we keep it from being.

A physical object from a stranger who knows your name and where you work is an intrusion. Four things stop it being one, and if any of them fails the send does not go.

01

It goes to a business address, never a home

A verified commercial address only: a storefront listing, or the address on a state trade licence. Anything that geocodes as residential is dropped before a single card is printed, and we tell you which names we dropped and why.

02

It is small, and it is not a bribe

Every gift is capped at fifty dollars in value, and most sit well under that. Small enough that nobody has to declare it or wonder what it buys. Anything big enough to feel like leverage is something reception has already been told to refuse, so we do not send it.

03

It comes from you, not from us

Your stationery, your brand, your name on the card, your return address. The recipient has no idea Alba exists, because Alba is not who they are supposed to be hearing from. Our name appears in your reports and nowhere else.

04

The call is the point, and it is a normal call

A card is a reason to ring somebody. It is not a substitute for ringing them. Your caller telephones the same day it lands and opens by asking whether it turned up. If the answer is no thanks, that is a complete answer and the sequence stops there.

How it works

Five steps. Two of them are yours.

You hand us the list. You approve what prints. Nothing reaches a printer or a phone until you have done both.

  1. 01

    You give us the list

Names, companies and business addresses of the people you want reached. Your data, your relationships. We do not source these and we do not add anybody you did not name.

  2. 02

We screen it and hand it back

Anything that geocodes residential, anything in a category we will not gift to, anything where the address does not check out. You get the removals and the reason for each one.

  3. 03

You approve the list and the card

Both. In writing, before anything prints. The card text is yours to change and the list is yours to cut. This is the gate.

  4. 04

It prints and mails inside the United States

Real pen on card stock, in your envelope, under your return address, through a print and mail partner in the US. Names and addresses go to that partner and to nobody else.

  5. 05

Your caller rings when it lands

Delivery is tracked, so the caller knows the day. The opener is a question, not a pitch. The call is recorded and its outcome lands in the same report as the rest of your calling.

Exclusions

Some people never get one, whatever you pay us.

These are not preferences. Healthcare exposure is criminal, and the other four carry caps, logs or filings that land on the recipient before they land on you, so the list is screened against all five before it is screened for anything else. If that is where your buyers sit, this is not the product for you. Better you learn that on this page than on the scoping call.

  • Government employees, at any level, and federal contractors

Federal ethics rules cap unsolicited gifts at twenty dollars per source per occasion and fifty dollars per source per year, and they aggregate a company together with its employees. Three of your reps sending fifteen dollars each is already a breach. We do not send to a .gov address or to a contractor contact, and there is no version of this where we do.

  • Anyone in healthcare, or anyone positioned to refer healthcare business

The federal Anti-Kickback Statute is intent-based and has no safe dollar figure. Exposure is criminal, not commercial, and it reaches the sender. We do not gift this sector at any value.

  • Registered representatives at broker-dealers and municipal dealers

Their own rules cap what they may accept per person per year, and their compliance desk has to log it. They often decline on receipt, which means the gift is spent and binned. We send here only with written pre-clearance from their firm.

  • Union officers and employee benefit plan fiduciaries

Separate reporting and fiduciary duties apply, and neither of us wants to be the reason somebody files a form.

  • Anybody inside a live tender, bid or procurement involving you

This is the one no job title and no industry filter can see, so we ask you directly and you warrant the answer in writing. A gift to somebody currently evaluating your bid is the clearest version of the offence this whole section exists to avoid.

One more, about your accounts rather than any rulebook. The US business gift deduction has been capped at twenty-five dollars per recipient per year since 1962 and has never been indexed, so roughly half of a fifty dollar gift is deductible to you. Budget the whole cost, not the after-tax one.

Twenty minutes

The call, itemised like the quote

You do not need this call. Every price is on the page and the cart takes a card. Book it if you would rather Scott built the stack with you, line by line, and told you which parts you do not need yet.

Length
Twenty minutes.
Who is on it
Scott Goodman, Co-Founder. He takes every one booked from this site himself, so there is nobody to escalate to and nobody to tell.

What it costs
Nothing, and nothing is sent afterwards. No deck, no discovery document, no proposal to read.
What you leave with
Whether the numbers work on your side, and if they do, a launch date in writing.

The artefact

Real pen on card stock. Not a font pretending.

We are precise about this because most of the category is not.

A machine holds a real ballpoint pen and writes the card. The ink varies the way ink does, and the pen leaves an indentation you can feel on the reverse. It is not a printed script font and it is not a laser imitation, which is what most of this industry actually sells.

It is also not a person. We will not tell you a human wrote it, because one did not, and the first time a prospect asks you straight out you have to have an answer. Say exactly that: real pen on card stock, never handwritten. It is the phrase we use everywhere, including on this page.

A real stamp goes on the envelope. The return address is yours. If a gift goes with it, it travels in the same parcel, and you choose both.

Your data

Names and addresses leave our building. Exactly one other company touches them.

What we hold

First name, last name, job title, company name and a business postal address. Five fields, and no more. We do not need a phone number or an email address to send a card, so we do not ask for one.

Who else sees it

One print and mail partner in the United States receives the names and addresses on your approved list, because somebody has to put ink on paper and hand it to the postal service. They receive the delivery data and nothing beyond it. They are named in your agreement before you sign, they are contractually barred from using the data for anything except printing and posting your mail, and if we ever change partner you get written notice before a single record moves.

Who does not see it

Nobody else. It is not pooled with another buyer’s list, added to any Alba prospecting database, or used as raw material for anything we sell. It was your customer data before it reached us and it leaves as yours.

How long we keep it

For the campaign, plus the period set out in your agreement, and then it is deleted. Ask for it back at any point and you get an export. Ask for it destroyed and it is destroyed.

If somebody on the list objects

They can tell us or tell you, and either route works. We suppress them across every campaign we run for you, not just the one the card came from, and we tell you it happened.

What binds us

Our data processing agreement holds us to the UK and EU GDPR and to the CCPA regardless of where your customers live. Read it before you send us a name, not after.

Scope and quote

A campaign is a bill of materials. Until we know what goes in the envelope, there is no honest number to print.

Four things move the number: what you send, how many go out, where they land, and how much work the list needs.

Adding it to your cart flags interest. Nothing is charged here and nothing is sent until we have scoped it with you.

How it is quoted

We price those parts with you and hand the whole thing back itemised: the object, the postage and the service around them. You sign the quote before anything is ordered.

Bring a rough list. It does not have to be the final one.

No numbers yet

No campaign has gone out yet. Any figure on this page would have come from somebody else’s business.

We commit to what we do, not to what it produces. The list is screened. The sends go out. Your caller rings. Every outcome is recorded where you can see it, undelivered and ignored included. You decide from those numbers whether there is a second month.

Questions

The questions that come up before anybody prints a card.

No, and the difference is not a technicality. A gift capped at fifty dollars in value, sent to a business address, with no request attached and no strings on it, is a way of getting somebody to take a phone call. Something large enough to change a purchasing decision is a different object with different law attached to it, and we do not send those. There is a harder version of this question, which is whether a small gift to somebody currently choosing between you and a competitor is fine. It is not, and we will not send it. That is why we ask you to confirm nobody on your list is inside a live tender or bid with you, and why that confirmation is signed rather than spoken.

Gifting is not the cheap channel. You are paying for an object, its postage, and the approval loop around them, on top of the caller seat this hangs from. If the sums only work at a very low gift value, do not buy this. Send cards on their own and put the difference into dials.

We do not know, and anybody who gives you a number for this is guessing. The response rates quoted around this channel are somebody else's mail, somebody else's list and somebody else's definition of a response, so we will not put them on our page. We have none of our own either. What you get is your own campaign measured from the first send, the sends that went nowhere included, and the bad numbers from us before you find them yourself.

No. It is added to a caller seat. A card with nobody ringing afterwards is a card. The phone call is the mechanism, and mail posted into silence is the usual way this channel wastes money. If you do not have a caller yet, start with one at $1,408/mo on quarterly. A UK closer is considered only after the calendar is ready. Closer eligibility, management, replacement terms and the commercial model are confirmed in a written addendum after pipeline readiness is verified.

Some will not. Addresses go stale, people change jobs, offices close, and a proportion of anything posted comes back or vanishes. We track delivery, so you will see which sends confirmed and which did not, and undelivered sends are reported rather than quietly counted as sent. If a batch has an unusual failure rate we go back to the address data before we send any more, because at that point the problem is the list and not the post.

Anyone selling you the card on its own is selling you the expensive half.

Bring us a list. We will tell you what we would cut.

A card earns a call. A calendar earns a closer. Twenty minutes is enough to price a campaign for your list and to work out whether this channel suits the people on it.
